Listography

I have been introduced to the delights of Listography by Kate at Kate Takes 5. For anyone addicted to lists, like me  (I have even been known to write a list of lists.), Listography is a real internet gem. And so I am pleased to join in her Listography linky this week and respond with my own first Listography list:

Top 5 Random Things I Like

  1. Engaging strangers in a stare-off when I find they're looking at me.
  2. Peanut butter, banana and beansprouts in toast. It's my favourite sandwich of all time. Don't knock it til you've tried it. And don't omit the beansprouts.
  3. Searching for true silence. I've never found it.
  4. Mud.
  5. Things that smell nice in a synthetic, druggy kinda way... like permanent markers and firelighters.

Going along with the list-making flow, I have prepared a list of upcoming tutorials you'll be able to find here on my blog:

  1. DIY envelopes and liners.
  2. What to do with all those plastic bags.
  3. Make a deer-head trophy.
  4. Herbal firelighters.
  5. Monogram wall art from recycled junk mail.

  1. Typical of the FB generation, I looked for the button to 'like' points 1 and 5 on your top list, and point 2 on the lower one. But seriously....peanut butter, banana and beansprouts? Whatever possessed you to stumble upon that combination in the first place?! Back to topic - lists are healthy, essential, and greatly satisfying when they're almost all ticked... but I have an annoying habit of never getting to tick the last few items. Maybe that should be top of a new list - of things i need to change :D

  2. I don't think I've ever ticked every item off a 'To Do' list. Too busy getting distracted and making new lists....

Peanut butter and banana needs added crispy-crunch (hence the toast) and a bit of crunchy-wetness to clear the palate and stop your entire mouth sticking together.... that's where the beansprouts come in. They do a brilliant job and go surprisingly well with the sweetness.

  3. Haha! I read the last one too fast and thought it said "firefighter" and was briefly confused (a permanent, druggy firefighter?). I love that you make lists of lists - I thought I was hardcore but that's taking it to another level alright.

Beansprouts on anything are the devil's work though.

  4. I can appreciate your #5. I love the smell of a purple scented marker. And there's a plant in central Texas called the Texas Mountain Laurel. Around February, they bloom for about a week, and the smell is positively purple marker. It's a natural replication of my favorite synthetic smell.

  5. You were doing so well in your first paragraph - and then you had to mention the sandwich. That is most definitely random (and how on earth did you discover that you liked it...?)

  6. Great List, I search for silence too. And I'm not sure I'm too keen on the sound of that sarnie, lol. Fab blog, I look forward to following you & reading more x

  7. I like pb, honey and banana.... but I'd imagine beansprouts could actually work, funnily enough! Have to try it. Is there such a thing as true silence? Not in my life anyway! :)
